Ondanks een voorsprong die Dalto/Klaverblad Verzekeringen vroeg opbouwde en lang vasthield, trok de ploeg toch aan het kortste eind. Na vijf minuten verlenging besliste Victor Entken de wedstrijd middels een strafworp in het voordeel van Fortuna. Joost Wattel, aanvoerder van de ploeg uit Driebergen, kijkt met gemengde gevoelens terug op de wedstrijd.
